My Exciting Journey as Mrs. Villamar |
When I met my husband, I knew he is the ONE. It never took a long time of courtship for us to be together. He said, "Love me now and I'll court you forever..." He is named Mark Johnson and I am Marjorie Jayne. He is referred to as Mark and I am Marj. Is it a coincidence? No, it's not. We believe that even before we were born, we are already destined to be one in God's eyes. I never chose him neither he chose me. God has chosen the two of us to be husband and wife on December 16, 2010. And in this journey, I would never take it all by myself. I want to impart to every one the challenges, the sweet life, the happy moments, and how I live them day by day--- not to publicize my whole life but to share them as inspiration. Happy browsing :-) |
Yes, I decided to leave my so-loved job in exchange to be a housewife.
Before I come to this decision, I’ve heard from so many people that I shouldn’t leave my job. Why?
Many are asking why I resigned. It’s simply because when I married my husband, I gave him the promise that I will be by his side every moment of his life and we will live together and face the challenges of life together. As the famous Bible line goes, “Mga babae, magpasakop kayo sa inyong mga asawa…”, I have chosen to be by my husband’s side and support him in every step of the way.
Truly, I love my job but I also love my husband. When I entered another phase of my journey, it eventually means I need to sacrifice my job. It’s heartbreaking but I have to. Actually until now it hasn’t sunk in to me that I’m resigned. It feels like I’m just in my usual official business trip. In fact, my system is missing the usual things that I do in the office. I still open my emails, login in skype, and talk to my former officemates. I still do some of my tasks to help my boss.
I moved here in Baguio last Monday. I am learning to wake up earlier than my usual to prepare my husband’s breakfast, to check his clothes, and to see him leave the house and go to the office. I then go back to sleep and wake up again to login to the internet. If I don’t have much transaction thru the internet, I watch television. In fact, I’m beginning to love Kiray as “hurado” (judge) in Showtime J. Then, I’ll cook my lunch, have some nap, check facebook, then wait for my husband. It has been my daily routine for 2 days now (except for today that I went to the grocery and heard mass because it’s Ash Wednesday). Some might say my life is boring, but I’m actually enjoying it so far.
Lately, I received messages that simply touched my heart. Let me share some.
Ms. B: We will surely miss you Marj. It’s truly a blessing to have a wife choose to be close to her husband. God bless you and Mark abundantly.
Alex: Marj!!!! I miss you na!!!
Ate Agnes: The best ka ate. Kahit di mo kayang maging housewife, kinakaya mo para kay mister mo. Saludo ako sa’yo.
Those simple messages mean a lot to me and inspire me more to strive harder and prove myself to be the best housewife.
My decision entitles me to a lot of sacrifices, but so far, I am very much enjoying every moment of it, and I don’t have any regrets. Why? Because I am with my husband.
Yesterday, I really woke up so early (not to mention I wasn’t feeling well) to prepare husband’s breakfast.
Since we just arrived the night before that, we didn’t have stock of grocery items so I decided to cook his super favorite pancit canton with boiled egg.

When I posted this in Facebook, surprisingly many of my friends reacted.
Here are what they said:

I’ve been out of Tumblr lately. I was so busy with my turnover of work.
Did I mention I already resigned from my work? Yes, I did! I spent 1,047 days at work but I’m still handling Boracay Pito Huts until my replacement arrives. Ooops, by the way, the one who’ll take my position is my best bud, Katre.
Isn’t she so cute and adorable?

Did I also mention that we already bought our second investment? Meet Timothy :)

And after all of these, I’m now here in Baguio. I just moved in last Monday. Funny, my dad was texting me while I’m on my way here. He told me that he’s the one feeling the homesickness. hahaha. It’s as if I’m not going home so often. He’s still gonna see me. In fact, we’re going home this Sunday :)
And now, I am officially a housewife :)

“The passion of love bursting into flame is more powerful than death, stronger than the grave. Love cannot be drowned by oceans or floods; it cannot be bought, no matter what is offered.”
Song of Songs 8:6-7
Dear Jordan,
This is the story of the first and last time i ever fell in love with the beautiful, complicated, fascinating, woman who inhabits my soul, I’m pretty sure you are going to leave me tomorrow so I better say this while I have a chance, whether we are together or apart you will always be the woman of my life, the only man that I will ever envy, is the man who wins your heart, and I always believe that is my destiny to be that man, if we never see each other again, and you are out walking one day and you feel certain presence beside you, that will be me, loving you were ever I am.
Charlie

Everyone, I want you to meet her.
She is Leslie aka AL AL Buskad.
She really never fails to make me laugh out so loud.
Now, anyone wants lechon? :p
